The videoclip will present the studies carried out by the NoMorfilm project partners to develop new prosthetic devices with antibiofilm coating.

The videoclip preparation is led by UAL and MBA partners. ISGlobal participates as advisor in the videoclip script.

The A&B team came to MBA incorporado (project partner) in Gijón for the videoclip shooting. 
 

First, Pablo Roza, MBA Institute Manager, explained the clinical problem related to the prosthetic devices’ infections and the current solutions available in the Market. He also explained the advantages of the future NoMorFilm infection-resistant prosthetic devices.

   

 

Dr. Sara Soto, project coordinator and Associate Research Professorat ISGlobal Institution presented the project consortium and explained the steps carried out during these 4 years to identify and characterize new biomolecules with antibacterial and antibiofilm properties.

 

   

The videoclip also gives a general description of the studies performed to analyze thousands of compounds isolated from microalgae to identify these new biomolecules capable of preventing the colonisation of prosthetic devices by the microorganisms associated with this type of infection.
