Ian Probert

Ian Probert is a UPMC Research Engineer who is head of the Marine Biological Resource Centre service of the FR2424 at the SBR. This service includes the Roscoff Culture Collection, a marine macroorganism supply service, and the sequencing, microscopy, mass spectrometry and crystallography platforms. He has 2 decades of experience in isolating and culturing microalgae and managing microbial culture collections. He has co-authored more than 70 publications, many focusing on the diversity, ecology and biogeochemical impact of phytoplankton.
